Remove AI traces and hidden data from your images in one go
Finds C2PA Content Credentials, prompts and generation settings, camera and location data, then removes them without touching the image.
Lossless: pixels are untouched
Verified after cleaning
What is removed, what is kept
JPEG compression and PNG and WebP image data are unchanged. No quality loss; animated WebP and PNG are preserved.
Removed
- C2PA / JUMBF manifests (Content Credentials)
- XMP and IPTC (including DigitalSourceType, CreatorTool)
- EXIF (device, software, dates, serial numbers, GPS, thumbnail)
- PNG text chunks (parameters, prompt, workflow, Comment)
- JPEG comments, MPF extra frames and trailing data
Kept
- Image data, byte for byte
- Color profile (ICC) (optional)
- Orientation (only this field, optional)
- Transparency, animation and resolution (DPI)
Limit: This tool removes data attached to the file. Invisible watermarks embedded in the pixels (such as Google SynthID) are not metadata and can't be removed this way.
FAQ
Does image quality drop?
No. The file is not recompressed. Only metadata blocks are taken out; the image data is copied as is.
My phone photo looks sideways after cleaning.
Keep "Keep image orientation" turned on. It leaves only the rotation field in EXIF.
Will platforms stop labeling the image "Made with AI"?
Labels based on metadata are gone from the file. Platforms may also use pixel watermarks or visual analysis; those are outside metadata and can't be guaranteed.
